Synopsis 2. In 300 visits over 25 years, QT Luong ventured deep into each of America's 60 national parks to celebrate their beauty. He is the only person known to have done so with a large format camera. In this projected presentation, QT gives an inspirational account of his unlikely journey from a research scientist, newcomer to this country, to the publication of his multiple award-winning book Treasured Lands. Along the way, QT shares his incredible wilderness adventures from Arctic Alaska to the volcanoes of tropical Hawaii, while at the same time discussing his evolution as a photographer and the techniques he uses to capture the astonishing diversity of nature found in the national parks.
The presentation lasts less than one hour and is targeted at a general audience. Including Q&A and a book signing, the event lasts between 1h30 and 2 hours. QT will bring books for sale to the audience, and he can accept directly cash, checks, and credit cards.
