For maximum flexibility all black and white photos have been initially photographed in color (film or digital), and then converted digitally to black and white. This process goes beyond simply desaturating the colors, as it can create, with a finer degree of control, any of the numerous effects traditionally achieved by using color filters in black and white photography - such as darkening a blue sky with a red filter. Please note that in general, the print will have better contrast than the web image.
