Austin (population 0.8 million), is the capital of Texas. Austin is a center of education, home to the flagship campus of University of Texas, a technology center ("Silicon Hills"), and the self-proclaimed "Live Music Capital of the World". Many of those traits converge to create city more hip than the rest of Texas, with a "Keep Austin Weird" motto. During summer, residents and visitors gather near the Congress Bridge to watch more than one million of bats fly at dusk.
