Rafting the Grand Canyon is one of the great adventures to be experienced in North America. Besides the rapids - which include some of the most legendery whitewater on the continent, you access hidden waterfalls and side canyons accessible only by river, and get to see up close billions of years of geological history along about 200 miles of river. Unlike other adventures, rafting the Grand Canyon is quite easy and confortable provided you go on a guided trip - more than 10,000 people do so every year. Running with the excellent Hatch River Expeditions, one of the oldest Grand Canyon rafting companies, our May 2014 trip had the distinction of being one of the rare Grand Canyon by raft photography workshops.
