Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, used to rival other colonial cities such as Saigon. Nearly distroyed by the Khmer Rouge, who exiled or killed most of its population, the town remains surprisingly undevelopped. There are no skyscrapers, little cars, and many of the streets are still unpaved. While one can see the influences of a rich and varied past, the town gives the feeling of being uncertain about its future.
