The Seward Highway runs between Anchorage and Seward, on the Kenai Peninsula. The Seward Highway is possibly the road with the most varied scenery in Alaska. The first part of the highway hugs the shore of the Turnagain Arm, a long muddy fjord with some of the highest tides in America. The second part crosses lush mountains and is bordered by several large lakes.
