The Avenue of Giants is a 30-mile drive through ancient redwood trees. I find that the groves in
Redwood National Park are more beautiful and in a more interesting environment, however the Avenue is spiced with quirky attractions like "room-inside" trees and "drive-through" trees. Further North, Scotia is a rarity, a company town entirely owned by the Pacific Lumber Company.
