Pacific Rim National Park, on
Vancouver Island, comprises some of the best preserved tracks of old-growth temperate rain forest in Canada, as well as long stretches of beaches, where sandy sections alternate with rocks that reveal at low tide a rich variety of inter-tidal life. The parks has rugged weather, some of the wettest in North America, with 125 inches of rain per year, and has remained quite isolated and remote.
