Reached after 50 miles (and almost as many bridges) of narrow and winding road, Hana's isolation had helped this small town retain it's traditional Hawaiian ways. There is a beautiful cove and red sand beach. The stretch of road from Hana to Kipahulu passes Oheo, the southern end of
Haleakala National Park, a particularly lush and beautiful section. It ends up at the small village of Kipahulu, where the aviator Charles Lindberg is buried.
