Huangshan, sometimes called 'the loveliest mountain of China' is the most famous of the Chinese mountains, and has been an inspiration for Chinese art and literature since the Tang Dynasty around the 8th century, culminating with the Shanshui school of landscape painting that provided an iconic representation of the oriental landscape.
